I spotted the first standalone (can I say flagship?) store of Korres in Ermou on New Years Eve. My reaction was “well it was about time”. It was about time for this beloved brand to get a space of it’s own. We all know that Korres initially was sold (and is till sold) through pharmacies. Then in department stores such as Attica (where it used to have a large space before they created the care lab) and Hondos Center. But personally I find it important for a brand to have a store of it’s own, where you can find all of its products under one roof! It’s brilliant!
Korres is one of the Greek brands I admire because of its international reach. I’m happy whenever I see foreign blogs, websites and magazines showcase their products. Personally I’ve being using Korres for about 6 years. I’ve used face creams, cleansing gels and mostly their make up and nail polishes! Next on my list is their Professional Black line (mascara and eye pencils/liners).

Ήδη από την Παραμονή της Πρωτοχρονιάς παρατήρησα το πρώτο αποκλειστικό κατάστημα Κορρές στην Ερμού. Το πρώτο που σκέφτηκα? “Καιρός ήταν”. Ήταν καιρός για αυτή την αγαπημένη μάρκα να αποκτήσει ένα δικό της χώρο. Είναι γνωστό ότι η πώληση των προϊόντων Κορρές γινόταν (και γίνεται ακόμα) μέσω φαρμακείων. Μετά ακολούθησαν τα πολυκαταστήματα όπως το Attica (όπου καταλάμβανε μεγάλο χώρο μέχρι τη δημιουργία του care lab) και το Hondos Center. Προσωπικά το βρίσκω πολύ σημαντικό για μια μάρκα να έχει δικό της χώρο, όπου μπορείς να βρεις όλα της τα προϊόντα της κάτω από μια στέγη!
O Κορρές είναι μια από τις Ελληνικές εταιρίες που θαυμάζω λόγω της διεθνούς της παρουσίας. Χαίρομαι πολύ όταν σε ξένα blog, sites και περιοδικά βλέπω προϊόντα Κορρές. Προσωπικά χρησιμοποιώ τα προϊόντα τους εδώ και 6 χρόνια. Έχω χρησιμοποιήσει από κρέμες προσώπου μέχρι είδη μακιγιάζ! Στη λίστα μου τώρα βρίσκεται η σειρά Professional Βlack (μάσκαρα και μολύβια ματιών).

First of all, I am loving your new site design. I’ve been a long time reader but rarely, rarely comment. Second of all, thanks for the recommendation for Korres. I am going to check them out. I need a new skin care routine.

Indeed, a pharmacist himself Mr. Korres began his rise through pharmacies establishing his brand as a safe and a pharmaceutical-grade one. He then took advantage of that momentum and reached wider audiences. A true story of how to gain one’s trust and then sell it to the highest bidder. The brand would be just another super-market item and not an over-priced bubble-bath maker if Mr. Korres hadn’t followed that “strategy”. So do support his company. It’s a good example of the way we built our society and our values…

FYI, I received my facial cleanser and mascara. I am in love with them! Still waiting to receive my moisturizer. But I am happy.
